Singer-songwriter with a voice that captivates and lyrics that stir the soul, weaving stories through indie Americana and folk-country melodies
Discover My StoryLive clips of Pierce Nielsen — raw, real, and unfiltered.
Pierce Nielsen is a rising indie Americana singer-songwriter whose live sets turn heads, hush rooms, and bring even the toughest bar crowds to stillness. With a voice that blends grit and grace, his lyrics cut deep — evoking everything from smiles to tears, and drawing crowd participation from young women to old-timers and everyone in between.
He reflects a fresh and appealing emergence of Americana artists — shaped by his time living in the American Southeast and his roots in Arizona, Montana, and the Pacific Northwest. His performances are steeped in raw emotion and lived experience, with songs forged through personal trials, open roads, and nights under big skies.
In the summer of 2022, Pierce played his first open mic at Belle's Country Kitchen in Scottsdale, AZ, and was immediately booked for a two-hour paid set. After a two-year hiatus, he returned to his family's longtime summer home in Bigfork, MT, where — once again — one open mic turned into multiple headline gigs. Locals took notice, and venues from Bigfork to Whitefish began to book him regularly.
Now based in Rexburg, ID, where he studies at BYU–Idaho, Pierce performs throughout Idaho and Montana. His debut album, Contrite (Live), was recorded entirely outdoors in the rugged Montana winter — a rare feat of authenticity that echoes in every note.
As his following grows, one thing remains true: whether he's playing a forest stage, a college coffeehouse, or a backwoods tavern, Pierce delivers a show that's as intimate and unforgettable as it is entertaining.
Recorded in the Montana outdoors — a raw, heartfelt performance.
